It’s never a bad day when we get something new from 21 Savage. Though we haven’t heard a new solo record from the wordsmith in a minute. He returns with a contagious new effort entitled “Immortal.” The track has been teased before, initially arriving last December as part of the trailer for Mortal Kombat 11. Now the single has been officially released. The track finds 21 embracing life, showing off his uncanny and unadulterated talents behind the mic.
“Immortal” is driven by these hard-hitting, street shaking drum sections while paired with some slick, highly contagious melodic elements. The combination provides the wordsmith with an impressive home to display his talents, and he doesn’t fall short in the process. The backdrop is energetic and menacing, a perfect home for 21’s delivery and patented lyrical talents. The track is just the latest from the single, though there is no word on where this track might end up. While we hope to hear more new music from 21, as well as a new project, nothing official has been confirmed, nor mentioned. So, until we get something new from the lyricist, be sure to keep this one in rotation.
