Mac Miller – ‘Circles’

The legacy of Mac Miller continues to live on. This past Friday, just over a year after his untimely passing, his family and estate have released Mac’s first posthumous full-length album. The project is entitled ‘Circles,’ a collection of material that never made the light of day. His family spoke about the project in a letter posted on Mac Miller’s Instagram page. It reads: “Here we are. The act of having to write this at all feels surreal.”

The caption goes on to add, “At the time of his passing, Malcolm was well into the process of recording his companion album to Swimming, entitled Circles. Two different styles complementing each other, completing a circle—Swimming in Circles was the concept.” The project was a collaborative effort with producer and composer Jon Brion. The album comes loaded up with twelve new tracks, including the standout first single, “Good News,” which dropped just over a week ago. The album is an infectious and emotional ride, one that Mac’s fans are sure to cherish far into the future.
