Frank Ocean – “Cayendo” and “Dear April”

Back in October of last year, Frank Ocean hosted a series of unique club nights. The series, dubbed PrEP+, took place in New York City, described as “the first in a series of nights; an ongoing safe space made to bring people together and dance.” Frank stated: “PrEP+ will welcome globally celebrated DJs. PrEP+ welcomes everyone.” During the opening night of the events, the artist debuted two new tracks entitled “Cayendo” and “Dear April.” He also released vinyls of the tracks, which included remixes from Justice and Sango.

Today Mr. Ocean invades the interwebs with the acoustic versions of those songs, which are now found on DSPs for our listening enjoyment. The first track, “Cayendo” finds Frank excelling vocally, effortlessly showing off his range and prowess in the process. The track is driven by a smooth laid back vibe that is undeniable and incredible to say the least. The second single, “Dear April” also features a laid back approach, providing Frank with a flawless home to do his thing. He doesn’t disappoint, supplying a smooth performance and providing us with some great new material along the way.

Never one to let us down, Frank Ocean certainly doesn’t fall short of these two. Check out the new singles in the stream below and look for more new music coming very soon. While you’re at it, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
