Honoring The Greats | Kobe Bryant Headlines The Basketball Hall of Fame 2020 Class

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has officially announced its 2020 class. This year nine members will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame, headlined by the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant. The late-great Lakers star will be joined by the likes of Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, amongst others.

They are joined by 10-time WNBA All-Star Tamika Catchings, former Houston Rockets coach and 2-time NBA Champion Rudy Tomjanovich. The four-time NCAA coach of the year Eddie Sutton, three-time NCAA Champion coach Kim Mulkey of Baylor and five-time NCAA Division II Coach of the Year Barbra Stevens will also be enshrined.

Kobe spent his full 20-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Throughout his incredible career he was a five-time NBA Champion, 2008 NBA MVP and two-time NBA Finals MVP. If that wasn’t enough he was also a two-time scoring champion, 11-time All-NBA First Team selection and 9-time All-Defensive team selection. Kobe Bryant passed away in January, though it was quickly announced that he would receive an immediate posthumous induction.

Tim Duncan was a 5-time NBA Champion, 2-time NBA MVP, 3-time NBA Finals MVP 10-time All-NBA First Team selection and 8-time All Defensive team member. He spent his full 19-season NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs.

As for KG, he was a 1-time NBA Champion, 1-time NBA MVP, 1-time Defensive Player of the Year, 4-time All-NBA first team selection, and 9-time All-NBA First Team selection.
