Summer is here, and it’s time to make a change in your footwear. With the warmer months of the year upon us, adidas returns with a new staple for Summer. Today we get our first look at the adidas Originals adilette Superstar. The design arrives as adidas Originals continue to celebrate the Superstar‘s 50th anniversary. This unexpected release is sure to catch some eyes, rocking the classic adilette silhouette with Superstar graphics.
The unlikely combination features an all-over print that resembles the Superstar, coming in a slide form. The slide’s foot strap is printed with a shell toe-esque design. The footbed includes components such as “laces” and a “tongue” design. Looking at the slides from the top-down, the design does, in fact, look like a Superstar. The print is shadowed and somewhat 3D, giving the impression that you are about to put your foot into a Superstar. The Trefoil-adorned heel at the back of the slide is a nice touch, while the Three Stripes in the middle and laces at the front bring it all together.
The design is eye-catching and unique, to say the least, a sure way to elevate your footwear for the warmer season of the year. The slides are made from rubber and include a polyurethane bandage upper, resulting in a soft, quick-drying finish.
