The good folks over at Y-3 and adidas are back at it once again. Known for crafting sleek, stylish footwear silhouettes, the two have aligned for a fresh take on the new UltraBOOST 21. The latest iteration follows a bevy of great drops, but it marks the first time Y-3 has put their bold touches on the UltraBOOSt. The adidas UltraBOOST 21 gets updated with a signature Y-3 aesthetic, maintaining the recognizable UltraBOOST design cues in the process.
The shape stays the same, rocking a sole unit that features six percent more BOOST than previous drops. The recycled Primeknit+ weave upper offers a new, minimal look. The upper is also clean and clear of branding, while the lace cage has been removed. The sneaker does feature a new adidas and Yohji Yamamoto-branded stripe that runs down the middle of the shoe’s tongue, vamp, and toe box.
The lateral side features leather on the toe box, while a creamy-hued UltraBOOST-branded heel cage and a Y-3-stamped heel tab make a nice touch. The sneakers are finished off with cream and red details, which highlight the Torsion system.
Check out the Y-3 UltraBOOST 21 in the images and head to Y-3 stockists such as Aprhodite1994 to pick up yours. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding footwear coming soon.
