Classics With Comfort! The Sperry x Beams Japan Suede Cloud CVO

The good folks over at Sperry are known for crafting iconic and classic-looking footwear. They return with something new, linking up with Beams Japan for a striking new iteration of the classic Cloud CVO. The latest version of the iconic silhouette arrives with a suede makeover, offering a touch of quality and class in the process. Paul Sperry once said, “A wet deck was such a damn dangerous thing,” when asked why he invented the very first non-slip boat shoes.

Mr. Sperry created the Circular Vamp Oxford or CVO after a fall on his sailboat in 1934. He designed shoes with herringbone-patterned grooves in natural rubber soles, paired with quick-drying canvas uppers. The shoes have become an instant classic, worn by style-setters including Paul Newman, JFK, and Mr. Rogers.
