A Deeper Conversation | Jordan Brand Launches “REAL TALK” Series

The good folks over at the Jordan Brand are back at it. But this time around, it’s bigger than sportswear and style. The iconic imprint has announced the launch of a new series titled “REAL TALK.” The series will spotlight important issues the Black community faces while also touching on how to drive solutions to these issues. The series will be hosted by Angela Rye, who will sit down with Jordan athletes and influencers.

Along the way, we will also hear from journalists, social justice experts, and community activists. The series will feature conversations that focus on education and awareness, which is intended to help people understand how racism still affects the Black community. “REAL TALK” will also encourage voting, community involvement, and economic and social justice reform advocacy.

Jordan Brand President Craig Williams spoke about the project. He stated: “We know our commitment requires action, not just words, and we are already seeing signs that change is possible when inspiration meets action. We will continue to do our part to create actionable and meaningful change to bring equal justice and opportunity for Black people and all people of color.”

The first episode of “REAL TALK” will see Rye joined by Chris Paul and writer and activist Baratunde Thurston. Look for the first episode of “REAL TALK” on YouTube and Instagram today. In the meantime, look for much more from the intersection of sports and culture coming very soon.
