A Look Back! A Recap of ‘Inked At The Max’

This past weekend, we, The Culture Curators, took over the Magnolia Art Xchange to showcase art like never before. ‘Inked At The Max’ was a showcase of the oldest art forms known to humankind. However, it was more than just about tattoos. ‘Inked’ was an exhibition that brought together artists of different mediums to showcase tattoo art on a completely different level.

The event featured two incredibly talented tattoo artists. Dave Sedano from Cobra Classic Tattoo in Ocala, Florida, was on hand to showcase his abilities while joining Gabriel Bocanegra of The East Tattoo in Orlando. The two displayed their artistry and craftsmanship on two of The Culture Curators’ very own, while a handful of local artists were on hand as well.

Jordan Shapot, Teddy Sykes, Isaiah Pepper, Ryan Neumann, and Manny Morales put together a selection of tattoo-inspired artwork for the exhibition, providing a unique look at how tattoo’s can and have inspired art through the years.

While it was all about the arts at ‘Inked At The Max,’ the exhibition also featured the incredible talents of Just Joel, who supplied an astonishing array of music for the evening. Guests were treated to fantastic art and excellent vibes, all while enjoying a special drink concoction created by the good folks over at The Tipsy Skipper. The event also included a toy drive in conjunction with the Marion Children’s Alliance! ‘Inked At The Max’ resulted in an amazing showcase of art and craftsmanship. Not to mention a Toyota RAV4 full of toys for underprivileged children in the community.

A big thank you goes out to everyone involved in making this all come together. Thanks to the MAX first and foremost, as well as Dave Sedano and Gabriel Bocanegra for showcasing their talents and creating two incredible tattoos, live and in person. Also, thanks to The Tipsy Skipper for an amazing drink, and a big thanks to all of the artists mentioned above!

If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry, we’ll be back! In the meantime, take a look back at ‘Inked At The Max’ in the images and keep it locked with The Culture Curators for much more from #OurOcala coming soon!
