A Look Inside | Five Houses

Modern architecture is both compelling and captivating. It’s also inspiring and creative, and we have another prime example. Today we get a look at a unique home known as Five Houses. The structures are comprised of five residences that are immersed in the forest landscape. The rural plot in Mexico is the perfect spot for the home. In order to preserve the site’s centuries-old pine trees and dense vegetation, each dwelling is spread throughout three volumes.

These spaces are linked by two interior courtyards while providing ample privacy. The first space houses a living room with a fireplace and a large amount of glazing. Sliding glass doors expand the room out to a terrace, further connecting the interior with the landscape. A second unit features four bedrooms, including a master with a bathroom, which features a glass ceiling. The final volume hosts the kitchen, pantry, laundry room, and utility room.

The interior features a natural palette of wood, glass, steel, and concrete. The light, inviting spaces are a nice touch, opening the home up in the process. Take a closer look at this eye-catching structure in the images below and find out more about the design from Weber Arquitectos. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture coming very soon.
