A Scholastic Retreat! Graduate Roosevelt Island Hotel

In case you couldn’t tell, we’re avid fans of striking design and eye-catching architecture. Today we take a look at a beautiful hotel located on the Cornell Tech campus in New York City. Dubbed the Graduate Roosevelt Island Hotel, the hotel is the first hotel on the two-mile-long strip of land in New York City’s East River.

Designed by Snøhetta, the Graduate Roosevelt Island Hotel boasts 224 rooms over 18 stories. The space has been dubbed a scholastic retreat. Upon entry, guests are greeted by a 13-foot statue of artist Hebru Brantley’s Flyboy. The unique work of art serves as an entrance to the lobby library, which features 5,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

The space is adorned with a combination of eclectic furniture and colorful artwork. This provides a vibrant atmosphere that continues to the guest rooms. Each room of the hotel boasts views over Manhattan and Queens, letting you truly embrace the city in the process.

Take a closer look at this beautiful hotel in the images and plan your stay right here, right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more design and architecture coming very soon.
