The creative minds over at SMETS are back in the news. The brand recently launched the new men’s store in Luxembourg. To celebrate the moment, the French label Gunther and the Belgian concept store joined forces to present something exclusive. The two have created an exclusive Hoodie Double Poche. The hoodie was designed especially for the opening of the SMETS store in Luxembourg. The hoodie was born from the idea of deconstruction of the clothing, but also from the will of the brand to showcase craftsmanship.
Much like Gunther did with the Double chemise, they reinvent a classic of a men’s wardrobe. The design also plays with the structure of the clothing. The original pocket of the black hoodie is grafted with a second pocket and sewn inside-out with “blue-Smets” threads. In the back, every tag has been hand-painted and hand-sewn in the Parisian atelier of the brand.
This offers a unique style, and outstanding attention to detail further elevates the design in the process. The hoodie is minimalistic and creative. The design’s visible tag and blue stitching make visible what usually is not. The design pays homage to those making the clothing. The hoodie is crafted in a fabric coming from a French Maison de haute couture, the GUNTHER x SMETS hoodie will be available in limited edition.
