Fall is officially upon us, and Winter isn’t far behind. It’s time to update your wardrobe for those cooler days ahead, and Mr. Saturday is back to help. Today the fashion imprint returns with the first delivery for their Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The new lineup is dubbed “Stranger Than Paradise,” which continues its exploration of historical nightlife. The unique new collection references New York City’s legendary Mudd Club in 1978, offering a vintage appeal with modern cues.
The collection aims to capture an era of new wave punk with an elevated ready-to-wear range. Throughout, we find unique luxury knitwear, coats, hoodies, and worn-in leather jackets. The brand has also utilized vintage upcycled fabrics such as denim patchwork made from vintage Levi’s, quilted blankets, and more.
Standouts from the collection include a raglan sleeve teddy robe coat, printed cupro button-down shirts, an embroidered black nylon satin bomber jacket, and some heavyweight cotton graphic hoodies. The entire collection was shot at the brand’s first retail location – the Ephemeral Flagship – which opened in September in Toronto.
