Ace Hood – ‘Mr. Hood’

South Florida’s very own, Ace Hood is back! It’s been a minute, but today the lyricist returns with a brand new opus for our listening enjoyment. Today Ace drops off ‘Mr. Hood,’ his first new studio album in nearly seven years. The last time we heard from ‘Mr. Hood’ was on Trials & Tribulations in 2013. Since then, the wordsmith has served up several mixtapes, becoming a free agent and starting his independent journey.

‘Mr. Hood’ is his first independent release, and he certainly doesn’t disappoint. The project comes loaded up with all-new material, fourteen tracks in total. Along the way, the wordsmith is joined by Jacquees, OZ, Slim Diesel, and Alexdynamix, putting together something impressive and refreshing. ‘Mr. Hood is led by “We Ball,” “Big Fish,” and “Confident,” though Ace serves up a bevy of gems throughout. Some of our favorites include “Eiffel,” “Remember Nights,” “Facts,” and “Neva Say.”

This man always delivers, and he certainly doesn’t fall short on this one. Check out the new project, ‘Mr. Hood’ in the stream below and look for more new music coming very soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
