The one and only, the incomparable, the lyrical, and always entertaining, Action Bronson is back. Today the wordsmith is back with a brand new album, serving up his first project since late in 2019. This one is called ‘Only For Dolphins,’ which follows up 2019’s release Lamb Over Rice. Mr. Bronson has spent the past year focusing on his body and his health, and he returns with something brand new for our listening enjoyment.
Action recently opened up about the album in a statement. It read: “The dolphin is one of the most intelligent creatures ever created on whatever planet we’re on.” The statement went on to add, “They have their own way of communicating. They have nuance and intangibles like we do. The only people who understand me are those five-tool [baseball] players, those higher beings who are on the same telepathic wave as me.”
The album comes loaded up with twelve brand new tracks, including “Golden Eye,” “Latin Grammys,” and “Mongolia” featuring Meyhem Lauren and Hologram. Along the way, Action Bronson gives us a dose of his uncanny and unadulterated talents behind the mic, cooking up a solid collection of new material in the process. Some other notable standouts, in our opinion, include “Vega,” “Splash,” “Shredder,” and “Cliff Hanger.”
