Known for bringing classic style to the streets, Vans lets the fans bring the style to them. Vans has released the U-Color collection, which encourages wearers to customize their Era and Slip-On sneakers. The sneakers arrive in a white, blank colorway with a checkered grid for you to re-design.
The collection serves as a nod to the early days of Vans, which skateboarders and surfers in Southern California would customize their iconic footwear. The Era is seen in a checkered grid, while the “True White” canvas iteration features floral prints to color-in. The sidewalls of the checkered iteration features the words “Custom Made By…,” allowing the wearing to add their signature to the sneakers.
The slip-on comes covered in traditional flash tattoo design featuring sugar skulls, bulldogs, stars, and more. If footwear wasn’t enough, Vans has also included a selection of accessories. The U-Color collection also features a backpack with an all-over tattoo-inspired print. The sneakers and the backpack can be found now on Vans website.
