In case you couldn’t tell, we have a soft spot for outstanding architecture. Today we get a look at a beautiful family retreat in Russia known as the Forest View House. The home is the brainchild of Horomystudio, who have created a stunning structure on a small wooded hillside. The home boasts a small footprint to minimize disruption to the landscape while part of the building is dug into the terrain. The remaining areas of the house are perched on a series of stilts, while both are clad in dark timber slats.
This feature blends the structure into the dense forest, doing so seamlessly and flawlessly. The home features six stories, with the first two being reserved for technical equipment. The remaining four levels include the residential space with bedrooms and living spaces. The interior contrasts the facade of the home, doing so with a light-airy aesthetic.
White walls, pale wood floors, and large windows provide a warm, welcoming allure while framing views of the stunning terrain that it calls home. This dwelling is nothing short of remarkable and one worth your time and attention.
Check out the Forest View House in the images and head over to Horomystudio to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding architecture and design coming soon.
