An Inside Look | Low Bros Reveal The “SPECTRUM” Installation

The art collective known as Low Bros is back, revealing something new and striking. The group recently unveiled their latest installation at Berlin’s Reinbeckhallen art and culture center. The installation, dubbed “SPECTRUM” is a sprawling space that has been transformed into a dystopian, temple-like area. The German duo has included a range of unique structures that vary in size. However, the focal point of the installation is an intricate light fixture that is described as a “Solar Deity.”

The design features 53 UV-lighting tubes, creating a glowing and unique experience for visitors. The exhibition aims to shed light on the risks of using tanning beds. The duo released a statement that read: “In our eyes, a tanning salon is a kind of place of worship, in which a recurring ritual takes place.” They added, “Mankind is good at only recognizing wrong steps afterward and acting accordingly. Apparently, it takes time and distance for an objective analysis to take place.”

Take a closer look at “SPECTRUM” in the images below and head over to the Low Bros website to check out some of their other works. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern art and art installations coming very soon.
