Well, here is something we didn’t see coming. Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars have joined forces to create something special for our listening enjoyment. The fellas have aligned under the name Silk Sonic, and they have invaded the interwebs with a brand new single. The track is called “Leave The Door Open,” which finds the duo getting a little assistance from Bootsy Collins.
The track is the lead single from their upcoming project, which we hope to hear more from in the new future. Anderson recently sat down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe to speak about the collaboration. He stated: “These days, you get so many collaborations where a lot of it’s done through email, you never meet the person, it’s texts.” The crooner went on to add, “It’s like a play. It’s all this sh-t, and people don’t understand when you get in, and you can jam with someone and other artists that could hold it down, and you’re bouncing, that’s different. That’s the difference, and you’re really creating a groove from scratch. You guys are trying to figure out what’s going to work.”
