Another One | Disney and Lucasfilm Announce New ‘Star Wars’ Saga

The creative minds at Disney and Lucasfilm are back in the news. Today they have aligned to announce the latest saga in the world of Star Wars. The High Republic arrives following Rise of Skywalker and the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga. The film is a new saga that is set 200 years before the first prequel film, The Phantom Menace. This time finds the Jedi Order in control of the Galactic Empire, where they served as “guardians of peace and justice.”

The Jedi Order is at its peak in this era, though it will have its own adversaries. These will arrive in the form of the Nihil, “space Vikings” that live on the fringe of the Galactic Empire. Along the way, fans will be introduced to new smugglers, bounty hunters, and more. The first phase of The High Republic begins in August at the Star Wars Celebration Anaheim convention. These five releases will be announced: young adult novel Into the Dark, middle-school novel A Test of Courage, comic book series The High Republic Adventures, another comic book series from Marvel called The High Republic, and finally a novel called The Light of the Jedi.

This is certainly big news for Star Wars fans moving into the future. Find out more from Disney and Lucasfilms, and check out the short video below. While you’re at it, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more on this coming very soon.
