It’s been quite a busy Summer for KAWS. The artist has taken his companions all around the world, putting together some massive displays and exhibitions in the process. While he’s been all over the globe this Summer, today KAWS returns with an official look at his latest creation. After taking his ‘Companion figure’ on a ‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ in 2019, the artist gets back to work! KAWS has unveiled his ‘GONE’ companion, which continues his unique series of statues.
The latest collectible statuette draws inspiration from a large-scale sculpture of the same name. The figure is portraying his ubiquitous Companion character carrying his ‘BFF’ mascot. The collectible comes in an all-black colorway with white detailing to boot. The figure is set to arrive on the occasion of his exhibition entitled “COMPANIONSHIP IN THE AGE OF LONELINESS” at National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.
This new figure is sure to be a popular selection, so act fast upon its arrival. These are sure to disappear quickly! This is slated to take place on September 20th.
