The gang over at Medicom know what works and they have proven it again with their latest BE@RBRICK release. Fresh off the success of the Green Army Men drop last week, the Japanese collectible toy’s story only gets deeper. The latest iteration features Baymax from Big Hero 6.
In a move that made Marvel fanatics much more comfortable with Disney’s acquisition of the comic book giant, Disney reimagined Baymax and the rest of the gang from Big Hero 6 for the big screen. While Hiro Hamada was the initial centerpiece, it didn’t take long for audiences to fall in love with the inflatable robotic companion programmed with healthcare AI by Hiro’s brother before his (SPOILER ALERT) tragic passing.
The BE@RBRICK is a perfect canvas for the subtle design notes and intricacies that are Baymax. The white body is accented by lightly shaded panels at the joints. The little black eyes connected by that thin line are iconic of Baymax, much like the indicator on his chest. Glossy ears and sleek thin lines provide the final details for a polished futuristic look that nails the imagery from the film.
The Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK “Baymax” release is currently available in 100% and 400% sizes on CJ Mart’s website for $122 USD.
