Apollo Brown – ‘Sincerely, Detroit’

He’s back! Today Apollo Brown makes his return to the game, dropping off a brand new album for our listening pleasures. The new project is called ‘Sincerely, Detroit’ and it’s certainly one worth your time and attention. Apollo provides an ode to Detroit, doing so with a collection of new material that showcases the Motor City’s distinctive style. ‘Sincerely, Detroit’ is loaded up with twenty-two tracks, including an array of over 50 artists from the area. Along the way, Apollo provides instrumentals for a bevy of MC’s.

We get to hear from the likes of Royce Da 5’9”, Black Milk, Elzhi, Trick Trick, Slum Village, Guilty Simpson, and many more. The artists put on for their city, showing out lyrically while putting on a solid display of their respective abilities. Apollo never disappoints, and this one is no different. The project is loaded with contagious new tracks that we can’t seem to get enough of. A few of our favorites include “All Day” with Slum Village, “Over Do It” by Bronze Nazareth and Boldy James, and “Can’t Lose.” Elsewhere we can’t sleep singles such as “Break The Code,” “Stopwatch,” and “Skimmin.”

Apollo put together something worth rocking with, showing out for the D in the process. Check out the contagious new effort in the stream below and look for more new music coming soon. While you’re at it, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
