It’s been far too long, but the beautiful and talented Ari Lennox is back. As we patiently await a new album, she returns with a brand new single for our listening enjoyment. This time around, Ari pairs up with Anthony Ramos for a cover of Sly & The Family Stone’s classic, “If You Want Me to Stay.” The track was produced by Elite and Will Wells and was released in conjunction with Main Street Alliance. The Main Street Alliance aims to support small businesses within the United States.
The track is driven by an infectious old school sound with a modern nod. The backdrop provides the two singers with an impressive home to showcase their respective talents. Ari and Anthony bring a soulful approach and do the track justice, sticking with the original vibe in the process. The best part of the single is that each stream will find Crown Royal donating $1 to help the landmark small businesses around the country. The track is nothing short of exceptional as Ari and Mr. Ramos showcased their respective talents flawlessly. These two actually go quite well together. We’d love to hear more from the both of them!
