Art & Architecture | The Takamatsu House

When we think about modern architecture and design, we think sleek, stylish, contemporary structures and eye-catching attention to detail. We’ve seen examples from all across the globe, and today we get a look at another. This one is dubbed the Takamatsu House. This stunning home was designed for a couple in Japan who wanted to display their passion for automotive design. The home features a unique approach that shows their vehicle like the work of art; that it is.

Alongside the main living area, Fujiwaramuro Architects placed a glass wall to showcase the automobile for the interior. The Maserati GranTurismo boasts a white paint job that adds to the sleek, monochromatic aesthetic found throughout. The home also boasts plenty of privacy and space, rocking sleek and stylish attention to detail throughout. The all-white internal spaces give a gallery-like feel, while its cubed form adds to the sense of security. The geometric exterior is free of any expansive glazing. However, the house does feature long, thin windows while overhead voids in the center and in all four corners offer plenty of natural light. The home is a stylish way to live while rocking an artistic edge for folks passionate about automobiles.

Take a closer look at this incredible home in the images below and head over to Fujiwaramuro Architects to find out more immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding architecture and design coming soon.
