The one and only Takashi Murakami recently took to Instagram to share two new signed print editions created in collaboration with Mr. Hosakawa. Today the artist and artist/fashion designer return to offer the prints for purchase. The first piece includes the Japanese artist’s popular MURAKAMI ensemble with three faces. The second includes Murakami’s The Child artwork with “Jesus” underneath.
Tonari no Zingaro took to Instagram with a caption speaking on the art. The caption reads: “Though both designs are iconic, ‘The Child’ in particular will make those that are in the know grin, for it was inspired by a vintage sweatshirt with a famous American work printed on it.”
The post goes on to read: “The other one titled ‘MURAKAMI’ is from the three-dimensional piece introduced back in 2016, during the “Takashi Murakami: The 500 Arhats” exhibition. Some may already be familiar with it. ”
