The good folks over at Mattel are back, and they are getting creative. Today the iconic company has returned with a new installment of UNO‘s Arstiste Series. The new special edition deck boasts the art of American artist Keith Haring. The customized cars sport a design that’s synonymous with Haring’s work, showcasing his signature aesthetic in the process. The instantly-recognizable artworks also change the rules of the game.
Now players can match cards by color, number, or by the art found on their card. This marks the second installment in the Artiste Series. The first in UNO’s limited-edition collaborative pack that featured artworks by Jean-Michael Basquiat. The Keith Haring edition includes an art-forward deck that shows off bright graffiti and underground-inspired pieces from the artist.
The art was pulled from the archives of The Keith Haring Foundation. The foundation honors the legacy of Keith Haring and his art, also supporting not-for-profit organizations for children and those who provide education, prevention, and care of AIDS. The new UNO Artiste Series No. 2: Keith Haring deck is priced at $19.99 USD and can be found at Macy’s website.
