Art In NYC! Anonymous Gallery Unveils “100 Sculptures” Exhibition

Located on 136 Baxter Street in New York City is the Anonymous Gallery. The gallery recently launched the fifth and final edition of its “100 Sculptures” show. The presentation includes works of art from over 100 international artists. The exhibition is co-curated by Todd von Ammon and was initially displayed at Anonymous space in Mexico City back in September 2018.

It then moved to Paris, Puerto Rico, and Los Angeles before making its way to the Big Apple. The sculptures on display are crafted from casts, cloth, ceramic, found objects, paper, bronze, concrete, aluminum, and more. The mediums are just are broad as the themes, including everything from spiritual to “biologically subversive,” as the gallery described.

The Anonymous Gallery released a statement that reads: “100 Sculptures is a meshwork – an extremely populous show with the objective to create the most dynamic, non-hierarchical system that is possible within the limited confines of a gallery. The over one hundred objects on view have the ability to interact and decode one another freely. The exhibition acts like a circuit board, wherein each artwork behaves like an attractor in the network.”

Check out the installation in the images and head over to Anonymous Gallery’s website for more information. The exhibition will be on display through August 21st. Don’t miss out. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news, exhibitions, and installations coming soon.
