Art & Sport! Topps Celebrates 70 Years With Limited Edition Collection

The good folks over at Topps have been producing baseball cards for 70 years. To celebrate the occasion, the company is back to reveal the Project 70 collection. The brand has collaborated with 51 artists and creatives across various industries to reimagine some of the most iconic designs. Topps released their first baseball card set in 1951, and now they have opened up the design process to creatives across the planet.

The artists have been asked to reimagine and revisit their favorite MLB players and Topps designs for a limited edition run. Snoop Dogg is among the artists, while other well-known creatives, including Bobby Hundreds, Mister Cartoon, Ben Baller, and others, are offering their expertise as well. Each artist was asked to create 20 Project 70 cards, with new cars releasing daily online via Topps.

The cards are only available for 70 hours. Special cars from the 70th-anniversary celebration include 70 Rainbow Foil editions. However, fans should also look for a 1/1 Gold Frame edition and 51 different Artist Proof editions that feature a silver frame.

Check out a few of the designs in the images and head over to Topps to find out more right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the world art and design coming soon.
