Art & Texture | OSBBAT & Medicom Toy’s Wastepaper BE@RBRICK

Over the past several months we’ve seen more than a few unique, custom and creative BE@RBRICKs. It’s not a new trend, but rather something we’ve seen in a number of iterations throughout the past several years. The BE@RBRICK is a cultural icon, and one artist’s, brand’s, and more have embraced as a canvas to customize. The Amsterdam-based label OSBBAT is the latest to link up with Medicom Toy. The two have come together to create another special edition BE@RBRICK.

OSBBAT has created 100% and 400% BE@RBRICKs inspired by the waste paper-esque designs of Chris Namaizawa. This eye-catching design offers an all-over design created by artist, who creates many of his works from waste paper. The BE@RBRICK wears a marbled waste paper-esque bodysuit, which is unique to each piece. Only 390 BE@RBRICKs will be made, coming in 100% and 400% sizes. The OSBBAT x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK “Rough Draft” will be available for approximately $152 USD at OALLERY in Amsterdam on October 26. It will also be found at retailers including United Arrows, Smets, and Studious.
