Art Week Continues | Virgil Abloh x Baccarat’s “Crystal Clear” Art Basel Miami Collection

The past few years have been quite busy for Virgil Abloh. He’s made waves in both fashion and contemporary art, and he continues to expand in both areas. Today the creative director, designer, artist, and more is back. He returns with a look at a new limited-edition home collection that’s due to go on display at Art Basel Miami. The “Crystal Clear” collection is inspired by his “Figures of Speech” retrospective exhibition.

It also serves as a collaboration with French crystalware and glass manufacturer, Baccarat. The two announced the “collection of ideas” in separate Instagram posts. The shots offer a look at what to expect, which are centered around a Baccarat chain-link. The chain is seen rendered in the company’s signature transparent crystal, with little else being said or described. The design is slated to go on display in the Miami Design District, offering folks a chance to see the design for themselves. This is just the latest from the madness that is Art Basel 2019; stay tuned for more.

For the time being, take a closer look at the images below and check it out for yourself at 140 NE 39th Street Miami Design District Miami, Florida. Head over to Baccarat to find out more and stay tuned with The Culture Curators for much more art and Art Basel Miami coming soon.
