Art Week | Sarah Andelman & Mira Mikati Reveal “HELLO MIAMI” at Art Basel

We’re dubbing this week, ‘Art Week.’ Not only is Art Basel taking place this week in Miami. But Design Miami 2019 will be taking place, as is the local exhibition we’ve been pushing, ‘Neon Dreams.’ It’s a busy week in the world of art, and today we get a look at a new installation from Sarah Andelman & Mira Mikati. The two have aligned for a new exhibition dubbed ‘HELLO MIAMI.’ The theme is influenced and inspired by the Magic City, centered around colorful and fun-filled pieces. The collection also features exclusive merchandise by some of today’s most influential brands and artists. We see PANGAIA seaweed fiber tees designed by artist Haroshi.

As well as aroma infusers by Bibliotheque Blanche inspired by BE@RBRICKS and so much more. The gallery and pop-up will feature a unique range of gifts and goods. Other collaborations include The Skateroom and Vik Muniz. The two joined forces to create a skate deck collection that will support the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. Pharrell even worked with Christofle and Jean Imbert on a limited edition of the MOOD flatware set.

“HELLO MIAMI” It’s Art Week!

The exhibition is inspired by “the idea of a permanent vacation and the joy that comes with being barefoot in the grass, camping, and picnicking in fresh air.” Mikati is also set to showcase items from her past collections. These will include an anime-led collaboration with artist MR. St. Louis-based painter William LaChance has also linked up with Mikati to design the floor and backboards for the outdoor space. Additional goods from CASETiFY, L/Uniform, Superflower, Roxanne Assoulin, and more will be available at the pop-up as well.

The exhibition will take place at 180 NE 40th Street in Miami, Florida, from December 1st through the 8th. Take an inside look at the pop-up in the gallery below and look for more from the art department coming soon. Stay tuned for more from #ArtWeek coming soon.
