Art With Function | The Walking Bicycle

When we think of bicycles, we generally do not think of walking. The California-based creative studio CARV returns, creating something new and intriguing. They have created what appears to be a walking bicycle. The design features a compelling look that finds the bicycle’s rear wheel has been swapped with a metal skeleton comprised of four legs.

The legs are moved by the pedals, while the structure itself was made using over 400 handmade parts. It took seven months to develop, and it’s quite interesting, to say the least. The bike’s legs move as pedaled, creating an interesting look that is unique and quite impressive. While not something we’d expect to see on the streets any time soon, it’s certainly worth your time and attention.

Take a look at the walking bicycle in the video below and learn more about the design from CARV’s website right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more intriguing and thought-provoking designs coming soon.
