With all of the buzz surrounding ‘Space Jam 2,’ artists Evan Rossell and his partner Dee Rosse decided to celebrate the original film with a massive mural. The duo took their talents to a basketball court located at the Rodney Park North court in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. There they laid down a massive ‘Tune Squad’ mural, supplying the court with a fresh new paint job and a colorful upgrade in the process.
The piece features the entire squad, from Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny to Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, and Taz. The massive mural finds the character ever rocking their signature ‘Tune Squad’ jerseys, showing off their best moves along the way. The mural was created in partnership with the New York City Parks Department, while Warner Bros. is also linking with the Parks Department to host a private five-on-five basketball game on August 1 alongside the launch of limited-edition Tune Squad products by New Era and NTWRK; boasting original artwork by Evan Rossell.
While ‘Space Jam 2’ has a tentative release date of July 16, 2021, you can find out more about the upcoming event from Warner Bros. at GetAnimatedInvasion.com. Check out the eye-catching mural in the image and keep it locked for much more on ‘Space Jam 2’ coming soon.
