RIMOWA and Porsche recently collaborated on a limited-edition Hand-Carry Case Pepita. The design was inspired by the first generation Porsche 911. To celebrate that unique collaboration, artist Benedict Radcliffe has created a sculpture that resembles the iconic Porsche 993. Benedict Radcliffe is known for his automotive sculptures.
His projects, BLUEPRINT and LAMBORGHINI TWIN TURBO COUNTACH, are created with thin, colorful steel wiring. His latest sculpture is crafted from hollow steel tubes that flawlessly mimic the shape of the Porsche 993. The stainless steel body honors RIMOWA’s signature raw finish while outfitted with real Porsche wheels and RIMOWA logos. The design also features the special RIMOWA x Porsche suitcase displayed in the front trunk.
The artist stated: “I LIKE WORKING WITH PRECISION ENGINEERING FIRMS.” Check out the design in the images and head over to Porsche to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art and automotive news coming soon.
