Black Thought and Danger Mouse are gearing up to release their collaborative project, Cheat Codes. The album is slated to arrive on August 12th, and the duo returns with something new for our listening enjoyment. This time around, they have aligned with Joey Bada$$ and Russ for a new track entitled “Because.” The track follows their first offering, “No Gold Teeth,” which dropped last month.
Joey Bada$$ recently opened up about the track and working with Black Thought and Danger Mouse. Joey stated: “I’ve always been a big fan of Black Thought and Danger Mouse.” He went on to add, “I think Black Thought is one of the greatest rappers ever, so when they asked me to get on this record, it was a no-brainer. I still remember the first time I heard ‘You Got Me.’ The video was shot on my great-grandmother’s block, and I was actually there that day when I was a child. It changed the way I looked at music. I’m very honored to be a part of this track. We’re making history!”
The track is certainly not one to sleep on. The fellas bring their a-game and cook up something worthy of your time and energy.
