It’s been a minute since we last heard from blackbear. Today the artist returns with something new for our listening enjoyment, pairing up with Wiz Khalifa for a brand new single. The two have come together for a solid new effort entitled “Cheers.” The track serves as a farewell to the bad days while both artists showcase their respective styles and delivery along the way.
Blackbear offers his uncanny and unadulterated talents behind the mic, while Wiz delivers some of his smooth and witty wordplay along the way. The track was produced by blackbear and Andrew Goldstein, pushed by these incredibly silky melodies and smooth mid-tempo drum section. Blackbear leads things off, speaking about the hard times while looking forward to better days ahead. Wiz, on the other hand, takes to the track with a lighter approach, smoking his pain away while showcasing his lyrical prowess along the way.
These two go together quite well and create something we’ll definitely have in rotation moving forward. No word on where the track may end up or if either artist is working on a new project. However, we’ll be sure to keep you in the know.
