It’s been seven years since Brandy last dropped an album. However, it looks like she’s plotting a return for 2019. The songstress is back with a brand new single, unleashing “Freedom Rings.” The track is the title track for her forthcoming album and Brandy provides something soulful and impressive. The track is powerful from start to finish, as she effortlessly shows off her powerhouse vocal prowess.
The track was dropped on the 25th anniversary of the release of her debut self-titled album. Brandy does her thing over top of an incredible instrumental, showing off her range and delivery flawlessly along the way. She sings: “They love it when your demons hang around They hang around And I believe in a space to breathe, air is running out.” She adds, “I can hear the clouds begging me to spread my wings again Yeah, like I forgot what being fly’s about I’m just wiser now, oh-whoa.” The songstress delivers something exceptional with this one, which certainly has us looking forward to what else she has in store on ‘Freedom Rings.’
