The one and only Busta Rhymes is back. The wordsmith returns with a brand new single ahead of his impending album release this Friday. This time around, Busta links up with Kendrick Lamar for a smooth new single entitled “Look Over Your Shoulder.” The track is the latest offering from his upcoming album, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath Of God. The track serves as the third release from the project, and as usual, Busta doesn’t let us down.
The track is pushed by these incredibly silky smooth piano melodies while paired with some cool, laid back drum work. The combination provides the duo with an exceptional home to showcase their talents, and they do so quite well. Kendrick leads things, getting deep and weaving together an impressive verse of his uncanny wordplay. It may have taken 11 months to hear Kendrick’s first verse of the year, but he doesn’t let us down. Busta Rhymes then hops on the track and adds some of his unadulterated lyrical talents, putting together a timeless showcase of his depth behind the mic.
The track follows Busta’s two previous singles, “YUUUU” with Anderson .Paak and “The Don & The Boss” with Vybz Cartel.
