Call It A Comback | FX Renews Donald Glover’s Atlanta

The good folks over at FX are back, and they return with some news that we are all pretty excited about. FX announces that they have renewed Donald Glover‘s hit series Atlanta for the fourth season. The news comes ahead of the third season premiere, while production on both the third and fourth season is slated to begin early in 2020. Each season will consist of eight episodes.

FX’s Entertainment President Eric Schrier stated: “What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald, Paul [Simms], Dianne [McGunigle], Stephen [Glover], and Hiro [Murai] have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television.” He added, “This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners.”

Donald Glover created the five Emmy-awarded series. He also stars in the series with Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield, and Brian Tyree Henry. Since the first season has aired Zazie and Lakeith have gone on to become stars in their own right. In the meantime, Glover has stared in this year’s Lion King, while Beetz appeared in 2018’s hit Deadpool 2. Stanfield has starred in Sorry to Bother You, while Henry made a voiced appearance in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

This is undoubtedly news we are excited to hear! Keep it locked for much more about ‘Atlanta’  and more from FX coming soon!
