It’s Friday, and that means new music! The one and only Cardi B returns, and she does so with her first single of 2021. After serving up the highly contagious “WAP” in 2020, Cardi is back with a brand new single entitled “Up.” The wordsmith recently opened up about the track with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.
The Bronx representative stated: “My last song was very sexual, so I always want my next songs to be different than the one before.” She went on to add, “When I started rapping when I first put music out… I got really inspired of Drill Chicago music. I was young, and I liked that and everything, so my mixtape was very all about gangster violence. If it’s up, then it’s stuck. That’s where I wanted to take it with this record.” “Up” also comes with a set of matching visuals, which are sure to catch your attention.
