Cautious Clay – ‘Deadpan Love’

He’s back! Cautious Clay returns after a string of singles and EPs, finally releasing his long-awaited debut album. The album ‘Deadpan Love’ finds the artist serving up another solid showcase of his talents behind the mic. The album is led by the singles “Strange Love,” “Wildfire,” “Karma & Friends,” “Roots,” “Dying In The Subtlety,” and “Agreeable.” The artist recently opened up about the album and how it came to be. Clay stated: “Deadpan Love is something that I have inside me; the way I cope with the worst of what the world has to offer.”

He went on to add, “So much of life and relationships are spent in gray areas—we mistreat the people we love, and we’re friendly with the people we hate. This is an album about those complexities in friendship, investigating toxic behavior and self-worth.” The album features just one guest appearance, which comes from Saba. Some of our favorites from the project include “Box of Bones,” “Whoa,” “Roots,” and “Bump Stock.”

Do yourself a favor and check out the new album, ‘Deadpan Love’ in the stream below and check out the visuals for “Shook” while you’re at it. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for all the best new music.
