Cautious Clay – Strange Love

The one and only, Cautious Clay is back. The talented artist is gearing up to drop off his long-awaited debut album, Deadpan Love, on June 25th. Before he does, he invades the interwebs with this infectious new gem called “Strange Love.” The track is the latest single from Clay, who links up with Saba this time around. The fellas showcase their respective talents and cook up something contagious in the process.

Cautious opened up about the single and its inspiration. He stated: “This song is about the push and pull of identity in late capitalism.” Clay went further to add, “We’re constantly told we need x, y, or z to let the world know who we are, inundated with information about what the latest and greatest and coolest is. I love fashion and clothes and putting them together to telegraph myself to the world, but sometimes it’s hard to separate what I like from what I’m being told to like. I think it’s a struggle lots of people can relate to.”

The track is driven by these silky smooth melodies and some incredibly crisp mid-tempo drum sections. The result is something quite addictive that both Clay and Saba effortlessly do their thing upon. Each delivering a stellar performance and coming together to create something you shouldn’t be sleeping on.

Take a few minutes from your busy day and check out this highly impressive new single, “Strange Love.” In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music coming very soon.
