Celebrate Style | Champion Athleticwear Celebrates 100th Anniversary In NYC

Since 1919, Champion Athleticwear has made a name for themselves crafting quality, stylish essentials with an athletic approach. The brand recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a party in New York City, with global influencer Luka Sabbat. The event marked the grand finale to Champion’s year-long global campaign, “100 Years for the Team.” Throughout the evening, guests were treated to special live performances from teams the brand has worked with throughout the year.

This included the Choreo Cookies, Marawa from the Majorettes, The Harlem Globetrotters, Moxi Girls, NBA 2K, and more. The newest star of the campaign, Luka Sabbat, was in attendance and joined by his team. He brought along a select group of youth from the non-profit organization Art Start.

Luka was inspired by what he saw from the youth, creating an exclusive, limited-edition work of art using Champion apparel as the canvas. The piece recently made its debut at the New York City store. Art Start also created a work of art for Champion, designing a special mural to commemorate the brand’s 100th year. The piece was on display during the event, as well.

Take a look back at the celebration in the images below and look for much more from Champion coming very soon. In the meantime, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more streetwear and sportswear coming soon.
