The creative minds over at Clarks Originals are back at it. This time around, the iconic imprint has joined forces with the one and only Slick Rick. The two have aligned to celebrate the rapper’s Bronx heritage and long-standing affiliation with the brand. The two have released a mini-documentary entitled “Mind-Body-Sole.”
The video features Slick Rick visiting some landmark locations that shaped his upbringing in the Bronx. The rapper takes us for a stroll through the garment district in Manhattan, which fostered his love for fashion, art, and design. He also dives into his relationship with Clarks Originals and the Wallabee. He also his reasoning behind wearing and customizing them throughout his career. The wordsmith takes us all through the Bronx, even visiting a military recruitment office. He takes the time to speak to a group of officials who he feels are underappreciated. The artist is continuing his work in the area, working with various groups through his newly launched Victory Patch Foundation.
