With the holiday season upon us, it’s only right that we get some new Christmas music to rock with. Today the Chicago natives Chance The Rapper and Jeremih are back with a brand new project once again. The rapper and the crooner have returned to serve up their collaborative holiday project, Merry Christmas Lil Mama: The Gift That Keeps on Giving. The album arrives as a twelve-track compilation that includes previously-released music from their 2016 and 2017 mixtapes.
However, the project does come locked in with two new singles, including “The Return” and “Who’s to Say.” The project is littered with excellent, refreshing, and outstanding new material. Merry Christmas Lil Mama: The Gift That Keeps on Giving was inspired by Chicago’s rich musical history, adding some unique holiday spirit to the season. The project finds the duo showing off their respective talents on festive tracks like “Let It Snow,” “Stranger at the Table,” and “Are U Live.” The project is certainly one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. It’s packed full of impressive material while providing something different and unique for the holiday season.
