Chicago’s very own, Chance The Rapper, is back. The wordsmith makes his return with a brand new single for our listening enjoyment, serving up a new set of visuals in the process. The new video serves as Chance’s solo directorial visual, and he doesn’t let us down. The track finds the wordsmith showing off his talents behind the mic while also showing off his talents behind the camera.
The video was shot at his new music and film studio in Chicago, The House of Kicks. Chance The Rapper spoke about the track and stated: “I’m proud to be releasing new music again and even prouder to be honing my film skills, and getting better behind the camera.” The video plays out like a mini-movie and fits flawlessly with the track, offering up something unique and infectious. The track is pushed by these crisp, clean drums and some sleek melodic elements. The track serves as a perfect soundtrack for the video and one we can’t stop watching. No word on where this track may end up, but hopefully, Chance is working on something new for the future.
