Change Is Good | BEAMS & Clarks Reveal “Inside-Out” Desert Boot

When it comes to iconic and stylish footwear, Clarks knows a thing or two. They’ve been doing their thing for a minute now, and they’re back with a brand new collaboration. The footwear imprint has aligned with BEAMS Japan for a bespoke “Inside-Out” collaboration on a sleek rendition of the classic Desert Boot. The silhouette is based on the suede boot profile produced in the bazaars of northern Africa.

The boots were worn by British officers during the Second World War and have become a staple of Clarks fleet of footwear. The durable boots were initially designed to protect the wearer from harsh desert conditions and ensure comfort. To celebrate 70 years of the desert boot, the two brands have reworked the silhouette to form an inside-out iteration.

The boot sits on a crepe sole, while the upper is crafted using “Sand Beige” suede. The upper is contrasted by orange stitching, adding a unique and eye-catching appeal in the process. Keeping with the inside-out theme, the laces are found beneath the tongue, while the engraved leather usually found inside now appears on the outside. The heel counter has also been turned inside out, which now displays the article number and size stamp.

Stylish, eye-catching and functional, the “Inside-Out” collaboration is certainly a great way to elevate your footwear collection. Take a closer look at the collaboration in the images below and pick up the BEAMS Japan x Clarks Desert Boot “Inside-Out” now at BEAMS web store.

In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more style and footwear options coming very soon.
