Changes | LEGO Donates $4M USD To Support Black Children & Racial Equality

The Danish toymaker, LEGO, is taking a stand and making a pledge. The company announced that it would be donating $4 million USD to organizations dedicated to supporting Black children and educating children about racial equality. The toymaker released a statement regarding the move. The statement reads: “We stand together with the Black community against racism and inequality. There is much to do.”

The company has not yet disclosed what specific organizations will receive the donation. However, LEGO does join companies from around the globe in supporting #BlackLivesMatter. LEGO isn’t the only toy manufacturer in support of the global protests. Earlier this week, Pokemon Company pledged $200,000 USD. That money will be divided between Black Lives Matter and the NAACP.

This comes after an intense week of protests instigated by the death of George Floyd. For more information, head over to LEGO. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more lifestyle and culture news coming very soon.
