CJ Fly – Show You

The creative collective known as Pro Era has been making their mark in hip-hop for quite some time now. Today the wordsmith known as CJ Fly makes his return, showcasing his lyrical prowess yet again with a brand new single. The Pro Era representative returns with a contagious new single called “Show You,” which follows the release of Joey Bada$$ assisted “Rudebwoy” and the Conway collaborator “City We From.” This time around, the rapper links up with the legendary Statik Selektah, who provides the backdrop and his mixing talents.

The track is pushed by this contagious, shuffling instrumental, which includes a silky-smooth saxophone sample. CJ takes to the track and effortlessly showcases his talents, putting together a bevy of bars along the way. The wordsmith opened up about the track and his inspiration for his lyrical context. CJ stated: “I went from sleeping in a crib to sleeping on a mattress.” He added, “When I moved in with my father and his girlfriend out in Flatbush, me and her we got along, I always loved her cause she had cooked.”

The wordsmith raps: “Stash his ammo in this alley where my dad got locked. Just a couple blocks away from where heard gunshots. By this Chinese store on Lindenwood, where I had got rocked. One to three, I couldn’t do much, and my hat got robbed.” Don’t sleep on this one.
